The Canadian island of Newfoundland is steeped in history. Everton House Bed and Breakfast has its share and that's part of its charm. Originally owned by the Imperial Government, the land on which Everton House sits was later purchased by John Bemister in 1891. He built the home and his daughter Hannah and her family lived there until 1931. After changing hands a few more times, and long after a post WWII renovation, Everton House was purchased by Roma Edwards and Alistair Milne.
Newfoundland accommodations come in many varieties. Many travelers prefer traditional hotels, while others want to have the feeling of being in a much-loved home. Everton House Bed and Breakfast is a place where you can enjoy the peace and relaxation of a well-deserved vacation. At the same time, you will have all the comforts of home at your fingertips.
All of the rooms in the five-star inn include a private bath, some with soaker tubs. Lush robes are available for your use during your stay. You can also enjoy other conveniences of home such as laundry facilities, fax and email, and a microwave. Breakfast is served each morning in the dining room or in the inn's beautiful garden.
Costume designer Deborah McGuire and her husband Billie are frequent guests at Everton House. Deborah enjoys the inn during breaks from her work on TV's Friends, Crossing Jordan, and movies like The 40-Year-Old Virgin. With all of the choices in Newfoundland accommodations, Deborah and Billie still come back for the wonderful service and friendly staff at Everton House. If you'd like to make reservations for a stay at the inn, please call 866-754-1326, or email info@evertonhouse.com.
